Just came across this interesting way to classify mentor, trainer, consultant and counselor. It's as follows:
Mentor or Coach asks solution.
Trainer tells solution.
Consultant tells problem.
Counselor or Therapist asks problems.
One can also make a 2-by-2 matrix to put these roles in each grid!
